Two men have been killed in a light plane crash at a property in central Queensland.
Police were called to the Round Hill Road property at Captain Creek, south of Gladstone, just before 7am on Sunday.
A 60-year-old pilot from Captain Creek and his 71-year-old Dayboro passenger were declared dead at the scene.
Early indications show the ultralight plane crashed as it came in to land on private property, hitting a tree.
The wreckage was found caught up in a fence line.
Forensic Crash Unit officers are investigating the cause of the crash and will prepare a report for the coroner.
In a separate crash, a female pilot was taken to Atherton Hospital with minor chest and head injuries after crashing an ultralight plane at the Atherton airstrip.
The plane was extensively damaged and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified.
