Community in shock after popular hairdresser, 26, dies suddenly in her sleep
The sudden death of a young hairstylist, who is believed to have died in her sleep, has left the Perth beauty and fashion community in shock.
Charlotte Pownall was a 26-year-old hairdresser, popular among the Perth social scene and worked with local celebrities.
On Saturday, her previous employer posted the sad news on social media that Ms Pownall had passed away.
“It’s with extremely heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Charlotte, we were so saddened to hear the awful news of her passing. Charlotte was more than a colleague; she was apart of our family,” Shane Dias Hair posted on Instagram.
Tributes from Ms Pownall’s friends, clients and family have flooded social media, all speaking about how “beautiful” and “friendly” the hair stylist was and how her sudden unexplained death has left them in shock.
“Your effect on everyone Charlotte-girl is a true indication of the love everyone held for your genuine, kind happy soul. Your beauty shone from within and we are all lucky to have had the time with you we had. Taken far too young,” client and friend Samantha Wyllie posted.
“I can’t even begin to comprehend life without you but I will cherish all our memories together and not a day will go by where I won’t think of you,” another friend, who had known Ms Pownall for 10 years, posted.
“My heart is so heavy, yet at the same time I feel so lucky to have had you as a best friend, you gave us more love then some would ever receive in a lifetime,” another friend said.
The cause of Ms Pownall death is still unknown – her family are awaiting the results of an autopsy.
