Tragic details emerge as young mum killed in suspected murder suicide

Friends and family are in shock after Georgia Lyall was 'devastatingly murdered in her own home'.

Tragic details have emerged in the hours after a West Australian mum was allegedly killed by her ex partner in what is believed to be a ghastly murder suicide, as friends and family mourn her sudden death.

The body of Georgia Lyall, 32, was discovered in her Perth home after police received concerns about her welfare on Thursday morning.

That call is now believed to have been made by the father of her child and former Rebels bikie nominee Luke Noormets.

CCTV footage captured in the moments after the alleged murder, and obtained by Nine News, shows her ex hoping on a motorbike and absconding from the home where Ms Lyall was killed. The 33-year-old male's body was later found with bullet wounds when authorities were called to a unit fire at a rental property about about 25 kilometres from the scene of the murder.

According to Nine, the convicted criminal who has spent time in jail for the kidnapping and torture of a drug dealer, was not licensed to own a firearm.

WA Police confirmed to Yahoo News Australia on Saturday morning that investigations into the circumstances of both deaths are ongoing.

Victim praised by killer's mum just weeks ago

Adding to the senseless and tragic nature of the crime is the fact that the alleged killer's own mother, Trish, had only weeks ago taken to social media to praise the mum of her grandson for the terrific job she was doing.

"To our amazing Georgia - thank you for being a wonderful Mum to our grandson," she wrote in a May 14 birthday tribute, Perth Now first reported.

"We are blessed to have you in our lives," she said while also sharing a photo of Ms Lyall and her 5-year-old son.

The young mum responded by thanking her for the help and support over the years.

"Thank you for being the best grandma to our boy and such a big support for me," she replied.

Community rallies after 'devastating murder'

Loved ones of Ms Lyall created a GoFundMe campaign on Friday to raise money for her funeral costs as well her for her own mother who is now said to be taking care of the orphaned boy.

"Fiercely loyal, independent, funny and caring, there wasn’t a day that went by where Georgia didn’t make a positive impact on someone’s life," the page says.

"Our Georgia was selfishly and devastatingly murdered in her own home and those close to her are now faced with the crushing reality that life will never be the same again.

"Georgia leaves behind her beautiful, vivacious and loving 5-year-old son who is now in the care of Georgia's wonderful mother Robyn. Georgia was an extremely dedicated mum who was doing an amazing job raising him on her own."

In less than 20 hours, the fundraising campaign had nearly doubled its target of $25,000 by quickly raising $44,515 at the time of writing.

Countless friends have also taken to social media to mourn the loss of Ms Lyall.

"You didn't deserve this," one wrote.
