Top 'bogan' baby names for 2021 revealed
During the height of the pandemic in 2020, parents in India reportedly decided to name their newborn twins 'Corona' and 'Covid', a move that could have sparked a host of pandemic-themed names around the world.
And yet, in Australia perhaps it seems we got lucky on that front - or not, depending on how you look at it - with the 2021 list of the most popular ‘bogan names’ for boys and girls compiled by author of The Little Book of Bogan Baby Names, Sabrina Rogers-Anderson, and Kidspot, remaining coronavirus-theme free.

Most popular baby names of 2020
At the end of last year BabyCentre put together a list of the top 100 names for boys and girls and none of the more whacky selection made the cut.
The most popular name for a girl had changed for the first time in three years, with Olivia moving into second place, handing over her crown to Sophia, followed by Amelia in third place.
For the boys, Muhammad remains the most popular name for another year, followed by Noah and Oliver, which has also previously held the top spot.
