Perth's extraterrestrial wake up call
Perth received a morning wake up call from outer space today.
The crew on the International Space Station took this picture as it passed more than 400km above WA this morning.
It was posted on Twitter with the message:#Perth#Australia. Good morning from @Space_Station. Looking Good#DownUnder!

It's not the first time Perth has caught the eye of passing astronauts.
In 1962 Perth became known as 'the city of lights' after putting a bright display for John Glenn as he became the first American to orbit earth.
