In just five years Citigold Polo in the Valley has become one of the hottest social events in WA.

But the annual event is more than just a champagne-fuelled afternoon watching the sport of kings at Duncraig Stud, Peter and Debra Prendiville's exclusive Swan Valley estate.

It is also all about raising awareness and funds for charity.

Emily and Rick Parish will use tomorrow's event to support their charity the Telethon Adventurers, which they started in memory of their late son Elliot, who died aged four from the most common form of brain tumour found in children.

The Telethon Adventurers' marquee gives the public a chance to mingle with some of Channel 7's most popular faces.

New York-based Australian Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik has come to Perth for the first time to attend Citigold Polo in the Valley because of its support of youth suicide prevention charity Youth Focus.
