Aidan Tropiano enjoys every moment he’s at the Perth Football Club and says moving to Lathlain Park is the best decision he’s ever made.

Tropiano crossed from East Fremantle during the 2014 season and, close to a year on, the midfield dynamo couldn’t be happier.

“I was wanting a bigger role in the midfield,” he said. “There are a lot of really good players at East Fremantle and Perth came knocking and I was pretty excited about the opportunity to grow and develop in another club.

“It’s the best decision I’ve made for my football career.

“I’m just loving the club and I’m really loving playing with the boys down at Perth.”

Tropiano has been running hot in the opening five rounds, averaging more than 32 disposals to be the league’s leading possession winner.

The 22-year-old is upbeat about the Demons’ prospects in 2015, despite their status as wooden-spoon favourites.

“I’m really enjoying the opportunity Perth has given me to play with the likes of Dene White and Liam McKenna and those guys,” Tropiano said. “It’s a great environment to be around and I’m looking forward to the future.

“The core group, we’re all about the same age, around that 22 mark.

“There are a lot of boys who haven’t even played 20 games and they’re showing good signs.

“It’s a really good opportunity for all of us to get a lot of cohesion and work towards that common goal of success.”

Tropiano said he was relishing playing under new coach Earl Spalding and expected the Demons to play their best football in the second half of the season.

“He’s definitely a coach you want to play for and you’ve got a lot of respect for,” he said.

“He’s got so much knowledge of the game to share. We’ve come from pretty much nothing, right at the base and we’re working our way up again.”

Perth are buoyant after converting competitiveness into a victory over Claremont last weekend and host East Perth, seeking to rebound from a defeat to Peel Thunder, at Lathlain Park tomorrow.
