Talented juniors Jocelyn Green and Joshua Fewkes combined to snare the mixed foursomes championship in last weekend's Goldfields Golf Club competition.

The duo shot a gross score of 78, four shots clear of Vilma Chisholm and Ken Harman.

Julie Reed and Darren Gaby were third on 85.

In stroke competition, Carl Naake proved too good for his rivals, snaring honours with a score off 77.

Naake's round was three better than Ken Staunch who edged out Daniel Hywood on a countback.

Aaron Gough produced the shot of the day when scoring a hole-in-one on the 13th.

Brett Honey, Peter Gaby and Greg Jorgensen all hit nearest the pins as Mark Baroni claimed the longest drive - Brendan Reeves draining the longest putt.

In ladies action, Michelle Pullan's 78 was enough for a one-stroke triumph over Reid.

Neil Hoar snared the par event on a countback after shooting a net score of one - beating home Kevin Picen and Gary Baker.

Fewkes, Darren Faulkner, Jorgensen and Darren Hurst were the most accurate from the tee.
