Fair Harvest Permaculture will host a pregnancy workshop and retreat next month.

Workshop co-ordinator Daphne Levis said the workshop on Saturday, May 2 would include yoga, sound healing and relaxation exercises for pregnancy.

Mrs Levis said the workshop would help women prepare for the challenge ahead.

"The minute baby comes, life changes," she said.

"If you haven't been pregnant, you don't know what it's all about."

Mrs Levis said the workshop would include practical skills and advice.

"Nappies and babies and all that jazz," she said.

Mrs Levis said she and fellow organiser Ute Coleman would run sound healing and meditation sessions with Tibetan bowls.

"Time is precious," she said. "It's crazy - people say that to you, but you don't know until it happens. It's just a day for people looking to treat themselves."

The workshop costs $110 and starts at 10am.
