Unusual visitor to Busselton jetty captured on video

Visitors to the Busselton Jetty were treated to an unusual sight on Friday morning.

A marlin was captured on film weaving through the water close to the jetty about 9.30am by Perth artist Martin Costello.

The fish ducked, dove and weaved through the water only metres from the South West icon.

Costello had been at the jetty to help with the delivery of a golden seahorse to the jetty’s underwater observatory for the Easter school holidays.

Marlin are a prized catch for recreational fishers, but are usually more abundant in the waters off the coast from Exmouth to Broome.
