The final stage of the Stirling Street boat ramp upgrade will begin after Easter.

Work to improve the carpark is the last step of improvements to the boat ramp facilities following construction of a floating jetty and two boat ramps.

The final stage of the revamp includes dedicated parking for cars with trailers, a disabled bay and a rigging bay.

The new parking bays will be complemented by new paths, kerbs, gardens, bitumen seal, drainage, signs, line-marking and lighting.

Bunbury Mayor Gary Brennan said construction was due to begin after Easter so that it would not interfere with the increased use expected during the holiday period.
