Baldivis twins Tiahna and Madelyn Atkins have scored a place in Football West's Under-11s State Acquisition Program for the second successive year.

According to proud father Shane Atkins, the twins were the only two players south of the river selected for the specialised program.

Under-11s SAP head coach Jessine Bonzas said it provided young talented players with access to highly-accredited coaching staff and facilities, and the chance to develop their technical skills from Football Federation Australia's national curriculum.

She said the program gave participants access to the Perth Glory women's W-League team through training sessions and social settings.

The Tranby College Year 5 students are on the school soccer team and have played with the same group of girls since they were four.

Madelyn said she loved playing mixed soccer because she could beat the boys.

Sister Tiahna, who used to defend but now enjoyed centre and working the field at both ends, said her favourite player was Glory star Gabe Marzano, who helped her to learn a move called the nutmeg, an in-the-air step-over while juggling the ball.

"I would like to play for the Glory one day," Tiahna said.
