Second snake bite victim treated

Suspected snake bite in Jurien Bay

A person - believed to be a young boy - was bitten by a snake this afternoon in a remote part of the Cape Le Grand National Park in Esperance.

It is understood he was taken to the local hospital for treatment.

He is the second person in WA to be treated for a snake bite today.

Earlier a man was flown to Perth for treatment after a suspected snake bite in Jurien Bay.

The 36-year-old man was transported by the Royal Flying Doctor Service from Jurien Bay to Jandakot, before paramedics took him to Royal Perth Hospital.

It comes just a day after a woman in her sixties was flown from Rottnest Island after a suspected snake bite.
