Lawrence recovers from pneumonia

Jennifer Lawrence confirms that she is recuperating nicely after being knocked down by pneumonia.

The 22-year-old actress was too ill to attend the Australian Academy of Cinema Awards on Saturday.

Although she won the Best Actress trophy at the event, her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jacki Weaver had to accept the award on her behalf.

Lawrence took it easy to get well enough to attend the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She made the SAGs ceremony and terrified many people in attendance with the threat of her germs.

“Everyone is scared of me,” Lawrence joked to Giuliana Rancic during E! News’ live pre-show. “I’m like, I’m fine!

“I had walking pneumonia, and it is highly contagious.”

Lawrence walked the red carpet in her navy Dior gown and Chopard diamond jewellery.

The star was a tomboy in her youth, but she is beginning to grow fond of fashion in her maturity.

“I’m starting to appreciate clothes, definitely, but I didn’t feel that way before in my childhood,” Jennifer detailed.

“I was literally wearing my brothers’ clothing.”

Lawrence won a Golden Globe for her work in Silver Linings Playbook and is also nominated for an Academy Award.

She was voted to have given the most Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role at the SAG Awards.
