Julianne Moore’s acting skills are apparently not good enough for Turkish officials.

The Oscar-winning actress has reportedly been dropped as the face of a new tourism campaign in Turkey.

Moore, right, agreed to shoot a short promotional film for government officials last year to encourage people to visit the country.

Representatives at the Culture and Tourism Ministry were reportedly unhappy with the footage, which showed Moore travelling on a plane recalling childhood memories of visits to Turkey.

They asked the actress to reshoot the clips but Moore allegedly refused. Now Turkish officials won’t be running the campaign, says the Hurriyet Daily News.

Ministry sources claim the ads were scrapped due to Moore’s “poor acting” during the shoot.

Representatives for Moore and the Turkish government have yet to comment on the controversy.

Ironically, the star was crowned Best Actress for her role in family drama Still Alice at the Academy Awards in February.
