Shane Warne and Emily Scott have fuelled further speculation they are a couple after stepping out together for an event in England at the weekend.

Though they have both denied talk of a relationship, the duo appeared close at the Wellbeing of Women's Celebrity Cricket Match in the UK on Sunday and openly posed for photos.

Warne has been in England since mid-June, while Playboy model Scott flew out from her base in Sydney to meet the cricket legend last week.

Following Warne's much-publicised split from fiance Elizabeth Hurley, the duo were first linked in May when they were spotted out and about together on a number of occasions.

The spin king later took to Twitter to slam rumours of a romance, writing: "Wow, 8 years of friendship, a full moon party & attending a mates 50th turns into us dating? Whats next, down on a knee!"

However, the pair were photographed locked in a passionate embrace outside Scott's Sydney residence before Warne flew out to the UK.

But just two days later, the rumours seemed to cool again when Warne was seen leaving a London club with a striking brunette and Scott appeared to hit out at the 44-year-old personality in a cryptic tweet.

"That moment you realise someone's not going to get a minute of ur time. Relief. Focus on the people in your life who are cool," the 31-year-old wrote.

Warne was also spotted having dinner with radio host Sophie Monk last week. But after this weekend's public outing with Scott, watchers are now hinting that the couple's burgeoning affair may be back on.
