He may be one of the most-hated celebrities in Australia but Sydney radio listeners can't get enough of Kyle Sandilands.

Sandilands and his radio partner Jackie O confirmed their status as the king and queen of Sydney radio, jointly topping the first radio ratings survey of 2014 in Sydney.

The duo - who controversially jumped ship from 2Day FM to KIIS 1065 FM in November - have come out in equal first place for the number one spot on Sydney FM commercial stations.

Sandilands and Jackie O raised their audience by a massive 6 points at the Australian Radio Network station to hold a share of 9.3 per cent of the breakfast audience.

Meanwhile, the new all-star breakfast team at their former station of 2Day FM - Merrick Watts, Sophie Monk, Jules Lund and Mel B - have dropped to the bottom of the breakfast ratings from the number one spot in the last survey, when Sandilands and Jackie O were in that shift.

2Day FM's audience share has decreased dramatically by 6.6 points - from 10.4 per cent to a dismal 3.8 per cent.
