UPDATE 1.20pm: Beadell Resources managing director Peter Bowler has netted $2.3 million from a selldown of shares in the gold miner.

A change of director's interest notice to the ASX late yesterday showed entities related to Mr Bowler had sold three million shares through on-market trades.

The notice said the sale was to pay Mr Bowler's income tax liabilities and to complete the acquisition of an agricultural property.

Entities related to Mr Bowler continued to hold 15 million shares in Beadell, the notice stated.

Beadell shares closed off half a cent at 81.5 cents.
