Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Tuesday:

ALL - ARISTOCRAT LEISURE - down 1.5 cents, or 0.28 per cent, to $5.385

Gaming company Aristocrat Leisure is selling its lotteries business to the world's biggest online gaming software supplier, Playtech, for 10.5 million euros.

BHP - BHP BILLITON - down four cents, or 0.11 per cent, at $36.36

FMG - FORTESCUE METALS GROUP - down three cents, or 0.73 per cent, at$4.06

RIO - RIO TINTO - down - down 42 cents, or 0.67, per cent, at $62.38

The price of iron ore has fallen to a two year low, trading at $US87.10 a tonne.

DOW - DOWNER EDI - up one cent, or 0.21 per cent, at $4.82

Construction contractor Downer EDI has secured an initial 12 month contract for works on the Chevron-operated Gorgon natural gas project. The deal is valued at up to $170 million.

FLT - FLIGHT CENTRE - down seven cents, or 0.15 per cent, at $47.49

Travel group Flight Centre has elevated one of its board members to chairman after Peter Morahan ended his seven years in the role.

NBL - NONI B - in a trading halt at 45 cents
