Housos' stars to visit Rockingham

When deciding which WA city deserved to see his latest film first, for TV comedian Paul Fenech the obvious answer was Rockingham.

Fenech said he felt so at home during his first visit to Rockingham last year - during his successful hunt for the country's biggest bogan - and believed the city's top bogans deserved to be the first in the State to enjoy Fat Pizza vs Housos, which will be released next week.

The comedian said he looked forward to visiting Eagle Boys Pizza at Safety Bay Road, before he rocked up at Ace Cinemas for the WA premiere.

"We met Fordy (Bogan Hunters star Kevin Ford) in Rockingham last year and we've become good mates," he said.

"This film is like the Bogan Ben Hur so we knew all the Rockingham guys would love it."

A rude, crude, obnoxious and hilarious follow-up to 2012's Housos v Authority, Fenech said the movie began with Fat Pizza proprietor Bobo Gigliotti's release after a 15-year stint for a chainsaw attack on a health inspector.

Bobo found rent rose significantly and, looking to set up shop again, found himself in Sunnyvale - home to Franky, Dazza, Shazza, Kev and the rest of the Housos gang.

"There are punch-ups, there's bikie wars and drugs and Centrelink - and there's Kyle Sandilands," Fenech said.

"We went on his show a couple of years back to promote Housos vs Authority and we asked him if he wanted to be in the next movie and he said 'yep' and kept his word."

Fenech said he believed Sandilands was underrated as an actor and could see him taking on Hollywood, possibly as the next James Bond villain.

Fenech will appear at Eagle Boys Pizza in Waikiki between 4.30pm and 6.30pm on Thursday, November 27, Rockingham Shopping Centre at 6.45pm and Ace Cinemas at 7pm.
