Police have concerns for a man who ran into the bush near Collie after being in a single-vehicle crash on Friday.

Police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of 43-year-old Nathan Shane Meredith.

Mr Meredith, who answers to the name Shane and rarely uses his given name Nathan, was involved in a single-vehicle crash at about 7.30pm on Friday and was seen running away from the crash scene into bushland near Wellington Dam Road in the Collie area.

He was last seen about 4pm yesterday afternoon, attempting to hitch a lift on Coalfields Road near the Wellington Dam
Road, Worsley.

He is described as fair skinned, 183cm tall, with medium build, brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and no shoes.

A WA Police spokeswoman said there were concerns for Mr Meredith’s welfare because of the amount of time spent exposed to the elements and possible injury received in the crash.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Mr MEREDITH is asked to call police on 131 444.
