Bart and Elisha Calcei's love affair with Alfred Cove began seven years ago when they bought their first home to start their family. When they found they were having twins they knew it was time to upgrade.

"We wanted to stay in Alfred Cove as we loved being near the river and close to our children's schools," Mrs Calcei said.

After six months they made an offer on a renovated 1950s cottage set on almost 1200sqm.

Acton Applecross licensee Frank Bove said Alfred Cove's location between Attadale and Applecross was a big drawcard.
