Second Beechboro murder charge

Police have charged a second person with the murder of a 35-year-old man in Beechboro.

Police have charged a second person with the alleged murder of a 35-year-old man in Beechboro on the weekend.

Cong Trung Nguyen's body was found inside a King Road property by a friend on Sunday afternoon.

Detectives charged Caversham single mother Keeah Linda Maureen Sturcke, 21, with Mr Nguyen's murder earlier this week and launched a manhunt for a second person wanted in connection with the death.

Police today charged a 26-year-old man with murder. He is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Mr Nguyen’s friends said the deceased and Ms Sturcke knew each and were possibly friends.

They said Mr Nguyen drove his girlfriend’s car to a house he previously rented on King Road in Beechboro sometime after 8pm on Saturday night.

It is understood he planned to meet Ms Sturcke alone at the address but she brought another man.

Mr Nguyen came to Australia from Vietnam more than a decade ago to live with his uncle, his friends said.

His mother, who lives in Vietnam, has been told her son, an only child, had died but she cannot afford the airfare to attend his funeral.

A friend said Mr Nguyen had previously served jail time for drug offences and “fell in with the wrong crowd” after migrating to Perth.
