Driver dies in country road crash

A man has died after the car he was driving veered off the road and hit a tree near Moora.

The 36-year-old man was thrown from the car in the crash on the Miling-Moora Road, near Berkshire Valley Road, just after 3.30am.

Police said the Holden Calais sedan was being driven west along the road.

The vehicle rolled through a fence and landed in a paddock.

Anyone with information regarding this crash, or who saw the vehicle involved prior to the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
