Three charged after police chase

Three young Geraldton men will face court after allegedly leading police on a chase in a stolen car yesterday.

Police say the men stole a Ford Territory from a hotel in Bluff Point about 1.30am.

They filled it with petrol about 7am and 3pm, allegedly driving away without paying both times.

The car was spotted by police about 3.20pm on the North West Coastal Highway, north of Geraldton.

The driver allegedly evaded officers before the car was dumped and all three fled.

A police spokeswoman said the men were arrested in nearby bushland.

A 19-year-old Bluff Point man has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, stealing and trespassing.

He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court today.

A 20-year-old Karloo man has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle and stealing.

He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 17.

A 23-year-old Bluff Point man has been charged with stealing a motor vehicle, stealing, trespassing and no authority to drive.

He is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on Thursday, July 17.
