A 17-year-old learner driver has been charged with drink driving after crashing his car through the wall of a Midland house on Sunday.

The teenager was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and unauthorised driving by a learner driver.


Police said the driver lost control of his Holden Maloo ute and crashed through the wall surrounding a home on Great Northern Highway about 7am on Sunday

He was taken to Swan Districts Hospital for treatment and will be charged with Driving Under the Influence.

An adult male passenger in the vehicle was not injured.

The driver is due to appear in the Midland Children’s Court on July 30.
