Legendary rock band the Eagles have added a second Perth show to their Australian tour after the first sold out in record time.

The Hotel California hitmakers were already due to kick off the Aussie leg of their History of the Eagles world tour at Perth Arena on February 18 and will now also play a show on February 19 to meet demand from WA fans.

Beginning in July last year, the critically acclaimed tour has already been in the US and Canada. Eagles founding member Glenn Frey previously told The West Australian the band always enjoyed coming to Perth because it reminded them of southern California.

Tickets to the new show go on sale from Ticketek on June 30, with pre-sales starting on Monday.
