Charges laid over glassiing attack

A woman has been charged after allegedly glassing a man in the face at a Mount Hawthorn pub on Friday night.

A 29-year-old Scarborough woman handed herself into police yesterday and was charged with unlawful wounding.

The woman is alleged to have had an argument with a man before striking him in the face with a glass at Paddington Ale House on Scarborough Beach Road.

The 23-year-old man was taken to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital for treatment for an 8cm laceration to his brow which went down to the bone.

The woman is due to appear in the Perth Magistrate’s Court on June 6.
