Pair charged after police raids in South Perth, Beaconsfield

A 50-year-old man and a woman aged 48 have been charged with drug offences after a police raids on South Perth and Beaconsfield properties yesterday.

Organised Crime Squad detectives charged the two Beaconsfield residents as part of their "ongoing efforts to identify, target and dismantle" organised crime syndicates in WA.

On Tuesday, detectives from the Organised Crime Squad – District Response Team, South East Metropolitan District Crime Team, and Fremantle Police Station executed three Misuse of Drugs Act search warrants.

A police spokesman said the search warrants were executed at residential properties in Beaconsfield and South Perth, and a business premises in South Perth.

"It will be alleged the search of the Beaconsfield property led to the discovery of 83g of Cocaine, 205g of MDMA, 60g of Cannabis, 2g of Methylamphetamine and other drug related items," he said.

The 50-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman have both been charged with two counts of Possess a Prohibited Drug with Intent to Sell or Supply, one count of Possess a Prohibited Drug, and two counts of Possess Drug Paraphernalia.

They are both due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday, April 4.
