Armadale indecent acts charges

A man has been charged after he allegedly committed indecent acts in Armadale.

On January 7, the man was reportedly seen carrying out an indecent act while at a cafe in Jull Street mall.

About 2.45pm yesterday, it is alleged the man committed another indecent act at a coffee shop in Armadale Shopping Centre.

The 58-year-old man was arrested by Armadale police and charged with two counts of indecent acts in public.

The man faces further charges after officers allegedly found a recording device while he was being bailed to appear in court.

It will be alleged that the man committed an indecent act on February 22, 2012, while sitting near a children's play area at a fast food restaurant in Albany.

It is also alleged that he recorded people in public places, including children at the play area, using an optical recording device.

He has been charged with an indecent act in public, unlawfully installing an optical surveillance device and possessing a surveillance device for unlawful use.

The accused was refused bail and is due to appear in Armadale Magistrate's Court today.
