Terrifying video shows teens being chased by 4WD in road rage attack

A man has been charged after he pursued three people in his car and rammed their vehicle twice in a road rage incident in southeast Queensland.

After an altercation on Sunday evening in Redbank Plains, the man damaged the windscreen of another vehicle with a tyre iron, police say.

The occupants of the vehicle, a man and two female passengers, all aged 19, tried to drive off but they were allegedly pursued by the man who rammed the rear of their car.

They then tried to evade the man by driving into a service station, where they were twice pursued around the bowsers before they were cornered in a car park and their vehicle rammed again by the man.

The 19-year-old driver then tried to seek refuge inside the store but the man allegedly chased him on foot and argued with him before getting into his car and driving off.

Video filmed by stunned onlookers shows the cat-and-mouse chase through the service station and across main roads.

A 29-year-old Leichardt man was arrested a short time later and charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle, three counts of wilful damage and failing to remain at the scene of a crash.

He will appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on August 14.
