Teen begs for mercy during savage car park attack

Footage of a teenager being savagely attacked by a gang of youths at an Adelaide city car park has exposed a dangerous fight club culture where witnesses say there’s no mercy.

Police are investigating the latest sickening brawl after the attackers posted the video online to boast.

Jumped from behind, the boy was attacked 10 to one.

“Stop. Please, please,” the youth can be heard begging.

A ruthless and savage fight club culture is spilling into the city’s laneways and car parks, officers say.

Most would find the video of the city car park beating difficult to watch, which shows the boys laughing as their victim begs for mercy.

Friends of those involved told 7 News it was meant to be a pre-planned fight but quickly escalated.

“It was meant to be a one-on-one and then it became nine-on-one,” one witness told.

“It’s no mercy. It’s just to the death is what it is. Normally you just fight until they’re pretty much passed out.”

The laneway off Rundle Mall has become a trouble spot, where teenagers meet to drink, smoke, and most disturbingly fight. They sometimes even pounce on innocent members of the public.

The violence happens mostly in the city’s car parks, locals have told 7 News.

Another witness added: “Some of them are unexpected and they just jump people… mainly people that they don’t know.”

“I feel really scared like I don’t wanna be anywhere near them… They steal bags, shoes and phones and try to sell them to get money,” a third witness told.

The teenage victim is helping police with their investigation.
