A teenager has drowned at an unpatrolled NSW beach after swimming with his family during the school holidays.
NSW Police said the 17-year-old boy got into trouble at Diamond Beach on the Mid North Coast, on Wednesday about 1pm.
It is understood the teen was swimming with family members when the tragedy occurred.
Police said officers from Manning-Great Lakes Police District pulled the teen from the water and began CPR while waiting for NSW Ambulance to arrive.
Paramedics took over upon arrival but sadly the teen died at the scene.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
