See the world with Yahoo's Weather App

To get out of bed or not get out of bed. That is the question many of us face in the morning.

Do vague phrases like "isolated showers" and "chance of rain" have you scratching your head? What does that even mean?

Thankfully, with the Yahoo! Weather App for iPhone, iPod and iPod touch, you may not need to leave the confines of the bed sheets to peek outside – the weather app is a window to the world.

The free app integrates the Yahoo-owned Flickr photo service into the software, allowing beautiful images from the Flickr community to show your current local conditions.

So don't just read the weather forecast – SEE the weather.

The Flickr photos match not only the location you're searching, but also the time of day and current condition.

Additionally, those images can be used as your phone’s desktop wallpaper.

At the top of the screen, place and time information is displayed, while at the bottom there are current conditions and the maximum and minimum temperatures for the day.

Also, you can rotate your phone to landscape mode, to see a better view of the Flickr photo with fewer graphics.

The main screen features the usual 12-hour and three-day forecast, as well as an additional fourth day if you swipe up, plus five more sections: Details, Map, Precipitation, Wind & Pressure, and Sun & Moon.

A number of locations can be stored as presets, but if a location doesn't have any Flickr photos associated with it, a generic image is displayed. You can, however, add your own Flickr photos to the Project Weather group, to be considered for use in the Yahoo Weather app.
