Teacher fired after video of her kicking boy out of classroom emerges

A primary school teacher has been sacked after footage emerged of her kicking an 11-year-old student out of a classroom door.

The controversial surveillance video shows a hand throwing a backpack into the hallway and a leg kicking a student out of the classroom at Goose Creek Elementary School in South Carolina, US.

Moments later, the student tries to re-enter the classroom only to find the door has been locked.

Maj. John Grainger of the Goose Creek Police Department said the assault occurred after the student would not leave the room after refusing to listen and making animal noises during class, according to 9WSOC TV.

Students told authorities the teacher, Tierra Walker, allegedly dumped the boy out of his chair and dragged him out of the classroom on October 4.

The teacher has been fired, according to Berkeley County School District Spokesperson Katie Tanner, reported 9WSOC TV. Police said no charges will be filed.
