Aussie drug mule Cassie Sainsbury to marry fiancé in Colombian prison

Jailed Australian drug mule Cassandra Sainsbury will marry her fiancé Scott Broadbridge in Colombia's El Buen Pastor Prison, according to reports.

Ms Sainsbury, from Adelaide, is currently serving a six-year sentence for attempting to smuggle 5.9kg of cocaine.

The wedding is reportedly set to take place mid-next year after she was recently granted permission to hold the ceremony in jail, News Corp reports.

The couple's celebrity agent Max Markson told The Adelaide Advertiser the wedding going to be a "special" event.

"It will attract attention across the country," he said.

"That’s great exposure."

Markson says he is confident he can negotiate a prison wedding exclusive soon after Christmas.

Her fiancé, Mr Broadbridge, has said he intends to stick by Ms Sainsbury, 22, through the whole ordeal, which could be over in just two-and-a-half years with good behaviour.

“Cass and I are engaged to be married and I intend to marry her,” he told The Advertiser in May.

Mr Markson said the wedding will be an intimate affair of family, wardens and jailbird friends.
