Someone in, or passing through, South Australia yesterday will be very unhappy when they check their trailer today.

A driver in a remote South Australian town has walked into a police station yesterday morning holding a one kilogram bag of cannabis they found laying in the middle of the road.

After stopping to inspect the strange object they saw near Penong’s tourist information bay on the Eyre Highway, the surprised motorist realised what they had discovered and made straight for the police station.

Police are now looking for the owner of the lost property.

Anyone with information on the source of the cannabis has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online. You can remain anonymous.
