Woman injured in hang glider crash near Beaudesert

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after crashing her hang glider into a paddock south-west of Beaudesert on Wednesday.

Emergency crews were called to Knapp Creek, about 100 kilometres south of Brisbane, just before 1pm (AEST) after the woman hit a tree stump.

The 34-year-old was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.

She suffered a fractured shoulder and is in a stable condition.

It is not yet known what caused the crash.
