Prince Harry 'intimidated' by Meghan Markle and mum Doria Ragland
Prince Harry has never been a massive of being in the spotlight – neither has his big brother Prince William – but his wife, Meghan Markle, has taken to royal life like a duck takes to water.
Her mother, Doria Ragland, also seems like she’s a natural in the spotlight.
As the trio attended a reception at Kensington Palace on Thursday, promoting the launch of the Duchess of Sussex’s cookbook, Together, Harry was seemingly “intimidated” by Meghan and Doria at the event.
Body language expert Judi James told The Sun, the 34-year-old appeared “shy and a little bit intimidated,” particularly in the company of his mother-in-law.
“Meghan’s attention is clearly primarily on her mother here which might be a huge shift for Harry who has so far been bathing in her flattering eye contact and touch rituals,” she explained.
“Harry’s body language suggests he’s stepping back slightly to allow the real power double act to shine.”
One particular moment showcases this as Harry walked slightly behind Doria and Meghan as they arrived at the reception.
“He looks happy to allow his very confident-looking wife and mother-in-law do their own thing while he watches in admiration,” the body language expert said.
Despite Harry’s apparent “shy” demeanour, he was happy to put on a small display of cheekiness after he was caught on camera sneakily taking some food from the marquee.
When he caught sight of the camera, Harry flashed his cheeky grin, knowing he had been caught red-handed with some samosas in tow.
