Prime Minister Scott Morrison mocked over family portrait Photoshop fail

The Australian Prime Minister has been mocked over a bizarre photo-editing fail on an official family portrait uploaded to a government website.

At first glance, the image appears to be an innocent photo of Scott Morrison smiling alongside his wife, two children and dog.

But eagle-eyed people on social media have pointed out one major problem – his white shoes appeared to be Photoshopped onto his feet.

In a before picture posted to Twitter, Mr Morrison is wearing well-worn sneakers with blue stripes on the side.

An after photo shows him wearing clean, white shoes but it appears the left shoe is on his right foot.

“I always thought the biggest problem the LNP had was the cleanliness of their leader’s shoes,” one joked on Twitter.

“They have a ‘crack’ team of digital image specialists to remove the un-electable footwear. Having shiny white shoes, they are on the way to victory.”

Others suggested it was “generous” to suggest the image was Photoshopped as “it looks like it was edited using Microsoft Paint”.

The picture, which was uploaded to the Prime Minister of Australia government homepage, has since been cropped to hide the Photoshop fail.

A spokesperson for the Prime Minister told Fairfax Media Mr Morrison or his office did not authorise the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet to change the photo.

Yahoo News has contacted the department for comment.

The Photoshop fail comes after Mr Morrison was forced to apologise in September after tweeting a video of politicians in Question Time.

The 11-second clip showed politicians raising their hands in synch with Fatman Scoop’s Be Faithful, which was played over the top of the video.

Despite the video not including expletive lyrics, many were offended by the nature of the song.

Mr Morrison was also mocked in October after his personal website started playing lewd rock song ‘Scotty Doesn’t Know’ when it was taken over by an internet troll.

The troll took over domain name scottmorrison.com.au for more than 12 hours after the domain license lapsed.
