Powerball: One lucky winner scoops ENTIRE $40 million jackpot

A single winner has scooped the entire $40 million Powerball jackpot, which was boosted after three consecutive weeks of no division one wins.

The lucky Aussie, who is yet to be identified, was the only player to correctly pick the winning numbers, becoming an instant millionaire.

The numbers needed to win Draw 1274 were 27, 7, 31, 32, 2, 9, and 15, with Powerball number 7.

“This week’s $40 million Powerball draw is the largest jackpot currently offered by an Australian lottery game,” The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said.

So far, nine Australians have claimed a division one prize from Powerball in 2020.

The last $40 million Powerball winner was a Cairns healthcare worker last year, who told The Lott he celebrated his win with a bizarre reaction – by taking a shower.
