Popular milk recalled over 'food-borne illness'

A popular milk is being recalled over production issues.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission issued the recall of 2L bottles of Gippsland Jersey light and full cream milk on Tuesday.

The milk was sold in Woolworths, IGA, Foodworks and convenience stores across Victoria between July 12-27.

“The recall is due to a processing error associated with pasteurisation,” the ACCC said.

“Milk that is not pasteurised according to the standard may be associated with food-borne illness and decreased shelf life.”

It’s recommended that anyone who purchased the milk doesn’t drink it.

It can be returned for a refund.
