Officer unimpressed with 'cooler' ride

Police have impounded a motorised esky after catching a man riding it in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.

SA Police said the motorcycle officer spotted the unusual vehicle in a shopping centre car park yesterday evening.

The officer spoke to the driver and warned him the cooler on wheels could not be legally driven on the road, but then spotted the esky rider on Northcote Rd at Para Hills a short time later.

Police said the esky was a novelty import and cannot be legally registered or driven on the road in South Australia.
