Fatal hit and run driver 'returned to scene' before speeding off

Police have revealed pictures of a ute which killed a young Sydney woman on the weekend and returned to the scene minutes later only to drive off again.

Investigators have released security photos of the Toyota ute, which they believe hit and killed 19-year-old Natasha Gadd at Milperra on Sunday morning.

“(He) was in the area, was aware that he hit the young lady and did return to the area,” she said.

“So we do know that that driver was aware of the crash.”

Natasha’s mum Charmain Gadd is inconsolable and furious with the driver.

“My baby’s never coming home,” she said.

“He left my baby for dead on the side of the road. He’s a coward, he or she, whoever it was.”

Natasha had been working two jobs and was looking forward to starting a third.
