Many drivers struggle to admit they have been speeding when a fine arrives in the mail, but Fair Trading says right now is a good time to triple check any posted to you.
Investigators claim fake fines have been emailed to homes across Sydney asking for money to be deposited into bank accounts.
You can check your fine by visiting the Office of State Revenue and typing in your infringement number.
