Furious residents of a $2 billion classy complex in Sydney’s inner west have slammed sex workers for allegedly using the building as a brothel.

City of Sydney Council has confirmed to Yahoo7 News that they are investigating the complaints.

Residents say prostitutes living within the five-building One Central Park development in Chippendale are advertising their services on Chinese language social media forums.

Residents told News Corp that there are a number of unlicensed brothels openly operating out of the complex.

They also claim to have found condoms in public areas and paying customers coming and going from the complex at all hours.

One resident, who didn’t want to be named, told News Corp: “Some of these girls are going for $1500 an hour,” said one resident, who did not wish to be named. “It’s not petty cash, this is serious enterprise.”

One Central Park has also been named the 'Best Tall Building in the World'.

Online messages seen by News Corp reportedly show sex workers inviting customers to street addresses for the complex, including Park Lane and Chippendale Way.

A spokesperson for one of the building’s joint developers, Frasers Property, said: “We naturally share residents’ concerns about alleged illegal tenancies.

“Such allegations are diligently investigated by the facility manager and directed to the City of Sydney and police for appropriate action.”

The City of Sydney will be releasing a fuller statement later today.
