Pervert fears: Most men scared to help kids
More than two thirds of Australian men would be reluctant to help a lost child because they fear being seen as a pervert.
A survey found 23 per cent would not assist a child, because they might be perceived as having sinister motives.
A further 45 per cent worry that their actions might be wrongly interpreted as inappropriate.
The findings come after a missing school girl in Sydney had spent the night in the care of a stranger, who did not call police.
