'No questions asked': Nick Kyrgios' big-hearted pledge amid shutdown
Nick Kyrgios has pledged to open up his wallet for those doing it tough as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the global economy.
Hundreds of thousands of workers in Australia have either been laid off or stood down as citizens have been ordered to stay indoors - leaving many without any means of putting food on the table.

The Australian tennis star took to Instagram on Monday afternoon, posting a message to those who were struggling in such unprecedented times.
“If ANYONE is not working/not getting an income and runs out of food or times are just tough...please don’t go to sleep with an empty stomach” Kyrgios’ message read.
“Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to send me a private message.
“I will be more than happy to share whatever I have.
“Even just for a box of noodles, a loaf of bread or some milk.
“I will drop it off at your doorstep, no questions asked.”
Using the hashtag ‘JoinTheCause’, Kyrgios also challenged anyone else who saw the post to get on board.
Captioning the picture ‘Real talk’, the Canberra-born star’s latest effort follows his widely-praised work to organise a response to Australia’s bushfire crisis last summer from the tennis community, with many of the world’s top players in Melbourne for January’s Australian Open.
Maria Sharapova shares her phone number on Twitter
Nick Kyrgios wasn’t the only tennis superstar to ask fans to get in touch with them directly - retired great Maria Sharapova has made a similar move.
The five-time grand slam champion took to Twitter on Friday with a message for her fans during the unprecedented global crisis.

“Not only did I just get a 310 number (hello cool cats) but I’m sharing it with you—Text me! For real,” she wrote on Twitter alongside a video.
“Tell me how you’re doing, ask me questions, or just say hello. Any great recipes welcome too.”
In the video she explains her rationale.
“I’ve been trying to find a way to be in touch with all of you because last week I did a really fun Q&A on a video conference with 150 of you,” she says.
“I wanted more. A big part of that is because we’re all in this social distancing together, so I want you to text me what you think.
“Text me and wait to get a response.”
Needless to say she was flooded with replies and the video had been watched 2.5 million times on Monday afternoon.
