Charles Barkley has cemented his status as Golden State's 'enemy No.1' after a foul-mouthed response to taunting NBA fans.

Barkley seems to revel in his status as pantomime villain in the eyes of Warriors fans, and the Hall of Famer wrote another chapter in the famous rivalry on Wednesday night.

Having already earned the ire of Golden State fans by describing a trip to San Francisco as "hell", and picking the Dallas Mavericks to end the Warriors' season in the Western Conference finals, Barkley took things to an ugly new level prior to Game 1 of the series.

Barkley was on set with the 'Inside the NBA' crew as they were filming a live show outside the Chase Center, when Warriors fans began heckling the analyst.

The 59-year-old - often the butt of in-jokes from his colleagues because he never won an NBA championship across a distinguished 16-year career - snapped when a group of Warriors fans started giving him grief about it.

“If you don’t leave me alone, I’m going to come to your house and f — k your mama,” Barkley yelled out to a sea of fans in blue and gold tops.

Following the Warriors’ 112-87 win over the Mavericks in Game 1, more footage emerged of Barkley engaging with heckling fans.

Barkley was speaking on a live NBA on TNT broadcast when a bunch of Warriors fans started up a “Chuck you suck” chant.

The NBA Hall of Famer cut short his analysis of the game and fired back with a laugh: “Hey, you’re right. And y’all suck too!”

Barkley's colleagues found the exchange particularly hilarious, with Shaquille O’Neal gesturing with his hands for the crowd to keep the chant going.

Draymond Green joins Charles Barkley ribbing

Warriors star Draymond Green, who also appears as an analyst on TNT's show, also decided to take a few funny pot shots at Barkley after his side's Game 1 win.

“If I win another championship, that’s one more ring added to the panel that’s not him (Barkley)," he said.

"I wouldn’t want to see that either. Then he really got to hear about it. I get it. I understand. I don’t know how that feels, I’ve always won.”

Barkley reached the NBA Finals once in 1993 but lost in six games to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

Every other former player who currently appears on TNT has at least one ring. O’Neal has the most with four titles, followed by Green (three), Dwyane Wade (three), Candace Parker (two WNBA championships) and Kenny Smith (two).

"I guess I’d feel the same way if ya’ll just keep adding rings up here and I got to just sit here when the playoffs come around," Green joked.

"What are you going to say - you going to tell us how to win? Not taking that advice from Chuck. What’s he going to say?"
