Mystery around man found dead on side of road

A man found dead on the side of a road north of Hobart was not killed in a hit-and-run crash but police have labelled the death as suspicious.

The body was found on the side of Colebrook Road in Richmond, 25 kilometres from Hobart’s CBD, on Sunday morning.

“Preliminary enquiries suggest that the injuries are not consistent with a hit-and-run crash scene,” Tasmania Police said.
